Hello, my name is Yusuf! I am a dedicated creative coder with a passion for psychology, design, and computer science. I strive to utilize my skill sets in a role as a UX Engineer in a practical product-driven environment.
I spent my teen years selling my original artwork, painting murals, and exploring many artistic mediums. It was not until I discovered User Experience (UX), that I decided to pivot my efforts and pursue a Computer Science degree.
During my final year of undergraduate studies, I obtained an internship position as a UXUI Specialist with the California Energy Registry (Software Company) where I learned the importance of understanding the users' wants and needs and empathizing with their workflow, in order to diagnose pain points and build effective solutions.
Currently, I am a Freelance UX consultant working for a Sacramento start-up called ZamQuests (Scavenger Hunt App). I have done a complete design overhaul of their website, including UX Research, wireframing, interface design, and development.
With my knowledge in both design and development, I am a multi-faceted individual, who is enthusiastic to bridge my love for technology and art by creating robust and thoughtful software products.
